US Post Office Considering Stamp to Honor Harvey Milk

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is co-sponsoring the Harvey Milk National Stamp Campaign. “This stamp would serve to further remind Americans that by honoring Harvey Milk, you honor a true American Hero and Champion of Civil Rights for all people.”

Please send a letter expressing your desire for the committee to vote for the postmaster to approve this stamp to:

  2. I am disappointed, that consideration for the Harvey Milk Stamp, does not include my iconic image of Harvey, that introduced him nationally… 5 months before he was elected. It’s not a painting… it’s the real thing! for the history of my image please visit

    For over 30 years, that was one of the mst well known image of Harvey… it’ like raising the flag at Iwo Jima… that stamp is based on that historic image, and that is why I feel my image captures the
    real Harvey Milk… not some painting by someone who was not there, or knew Harvey…
