The IRS is being asked to investigate a Sioux City church that’s campaigned to unseat three Iowa Supreme Court justices. This comes following the high court’s approval of gay marriage.
A religious liberties group from Washington, D.C. has filed the complaint against Cornerstone World Outreach Church. It is calling Cornerstone’s actions an, “outrageous effort to politicize churches.”
Cornerstone pastor Cary Gordon says it’s not true the church is using donations from the collection plate to fund a political operation.
