As we reported yesterday, the homophobes who support Prop. 8 filed a motion to overturn the Prop. 8 decision because Judge Walker had a boyfriend. It’s pretty despicable, but shows their level of desperation.
Just found out that there will be an expedited hearing on their motion held in the courtroom of Judge James Ware, United States District Chief Judge on June 13.
Here’s the notice: Pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 62.1(a), Defendant-Intervenors’ have filed a Motion to Vacate Judgment. (See Docket Item No. 768.) Defendant-Intervenors have requested a hearing on July 11, 2011. Due to the nature of the Motion, the Court finds good cause to expedite and specially set a hearing on the Motion. Accordingly, the Court advances the hearing to June 13, 2011 at 9 a.m.

This is really outrageous. Somehow it makes sense for gay judge to be impartial in homosexual cases, but straight judge can be impartial in heterosexual cases. Some common sense, people, please!
