A David Weprin attack flyer claims his vote as a New York Assemblyman in support of a gay marriage law mocks the Torah.
The National Organization for Marriage (NOM), the nation’s most vociferous opponent of gay marriage, is spending $75,000 against Weprin’s campaign to replace former New York Rep. Anthony D. Weiner, who resigned in June as a result of a sexting scandal. NOM is backing Republican Bob Turner in Tuesday’s special election.
Last week, the group began distributing an ad that attacks Weprin for betraying his faith.
