English pop and R&B singer Cheryl Cole (known as Cheryl) has endorsed equal marriage rights for gay and lesbian couples.
The 28-year-old Cole rose to fame in 2002 when she auditioned for the reality talent contest Popstars: The Rivals, winning her a place as a member of Girls Aloud. In 2009, Cole began her solo career. She released her third studio album A Million Lights on June 18.
Appearing on GaydarRadio, co-host Neil Sexton asked Cole whether she supports the UK government’s plan to legalize marriage equality before 2015.
