Liberal MP John Alexander has admitted to squirming his way out of a question on live television as to whether he personally supports gay marriage.
Mr Alexander was a guest on ABC TV’s Q&A program on Monday night when the issue of gay marriage was discussed.

Asked if he personally supported gay marriage Mr Alexander sidestepped the question, saying his wife may not like that and it wasn’t personally for him. “I was just trying to squirm around and get out of that,” he said.
