Two Greeting Card Companies Launch New LGBT Lines

Written by scott on July 1st, 2012

Just heard from two greeting card companies with new gay/lesbian card lines.

First, Homoquotables, from a write-up in BizJournals.com:

HomoquotablesDan McLellan wanted to buy a romantic card for his spouse. He hunted in card shops and online, but nothing filled the bill. There were lots of sharp, funny, edgy, and sexy cards out there, but Dan McLellan is a romantic and he wanted a romantic, tender card to express his deep feelings for his mate. There were none to be had. Dan and his spouse, Michael, are gay.

With the national trend heading toward acceptance of same sex couples, businesses that cater to the specific needs of the gay and lesbian community are booming. These businesses cover the spectrum of products and services, with airlines, retailers, financial firms, automakers, and others targeting the gay dollar in their advertising. With new laws allowing gay marriage on the books, the newest industry to join the trend is the wedding industry.

Find them at Homoquotables.com.

Then there’s Wedding Paper Divas:

Wedding Paper DivasWedding Paper Divas, your online destination for premium, personalized wedding stationery, today announced the latest wedding trends including the new designs, colors and wedding collections for same-sex, ethnic and religious weddings.

The new same-sex collection is inspired by the chic style of today’s modern couples and offers a number of design-forward options to help celebrate their unions. Elegant features including peacocks, Indian religious symbols and henna designs were the inspiration behind the ethnic collection and can be seen throughout the stationery. For those looking for a more traditional feel, the religious collection boasts designs with Christian scriptures, bible verses and crosses.
