United Kingdom: Local Tory Groups Want Cameron to Abandon Marriage Equality Push

They warn the Prime Minister that unless the Coalition starts to adopt more Conservative policies the party will lose more members to right wing rivals like Ukip.

Some of the activists also questioned whether Chancellor George Osborne should his role of party strategist. Former Chancellor Lord Lawson questioned whether he is distracted in an interview today.

The news came after analysis compiled by Lord Ashcroft, the Tories’ former Conservative chairman, found that more than a third of people who voted Tory in 2010 general election are refusing to back him in the future.
