Two Oahu churches are continuing to challenge Hawaii civil union laws, saying that a recent exemption aimed at them isn’t broad enough.
The Lighthouse Outreach Center Assembly of God and Emmanuel Temple, the House of Praise argue they should not be forced to allow same-sex civil unions on their premises.
The new amendment exempts churches that restrict marriage ceremonies to their members, but doesn’t apply to churches that are open to the public.
