Minnesota, USA: Marriage Equality Fight Continues After ElectionA month after Minnesotans voted to defeat the state constitutional amendment that would have banned same-sex marriage, both sides are gearing up for the next phase of this on-going battle.

About 500 gay marriage activists gathered to strategize at the Minneapolis Hilton for an “Equality and Justice Summit” Saturday.

“I’m really glad you’re all here to carry this movement forward,” said Javen Swanson of OutFront Minnesota, as he addressed a group in one of the summit’s many training sessions. It was titled, “People of Faith and the Road Ahead: Next Steps Toward LGBT Equality.”
