Tennessee, USA: Gay Couple Denied Marriage License in MorristownThey were ready to say “I do” even when they knew the answer on the other side of the counter would be “no”. Still, they walked into the Morristown courthouse parents and friends with them and asked.

“We are here to apply for a marriage license.” Matt Griffin said.

“You two?”, a pause then a smile. “Should I ask for identification?” The clerk asked. “Or are you two both males.”

The no was soon to follow. Matt and his boyfriend of seven years Raymi Wolfe walked into that small town courtroom knowing full well what was going to happen.
