Lovely. Once again the Vatican manages to put their foot in it while talking about gays and marriage equality. Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia has some words for the LGBT community, from Gay Star News:
Interviewed by the Italian press, Paglia said: ‘The Catholic Church is against discrimination. All human beings are equal in front of God, but we are also against same-sex marriage. ‘The church must defend the truth and the truth is that a marriage is only between a man and a woman. This is not a religious belief, this is the natural order of things. We can not surrender to a sick egalitarianism. ‘However, homosexuality is still a crime in too many countries. I want the church to defend human rights and to fight this discrimination.’
