Albania: 53% Should Not Be Free to Live as They Wish

Forget marriage equality and gay rights. In Albania, they don’t even want gay people to be free to live their own lives. Pink News reports:

According to the ESS, 53% of Albanians believe that “gays and lesbians should not be free to live life as they wish,” reports BalkanInsight. Albanians were the highest percentage to agree with that statement, compared to just 3% in Sweden and the Netherlands. The survey, however, did not include other countries in the Western Balkans, where it is believed that homophobia is just as strong, if not higher.

Makes the conservative county where we live in the Sierra Foothills look like Boystown or the Castro.
