A third House committee in Colorado just passed the civil unions bill, clearing the way for a full house vote, LGBTQ Nation reports:
The House Appropriations Committee passed the Civil Unions bill this morning by a bipartisan 9-4 vote. The bill cleared the House Finance Committee on Wednesday on a 7-6 party-line vote with Republicans in opposition, and was approved by the House Judiciary Committee last week. The measure is expected to be voted on by the full House next week, the last step before the governor’s desk.
Colorado government sources are saying the law could go into effect by the beginning of April.
