A new PPP poll looked at gun control, illegal immigration and gay marriage. The Orlando Sentinel reports:
The gay civil union question found what must be a surprising result: that more Republicans (74 percent) combined to allow for some sort of union, a civil union or marriage, than Democrats (72 percent.) Independents showed even stronger support, 80 percent. Looking closer though, Democrats showed more support for gay marriage versus civil unions (48-24) while Republicans offered more support for civil unions rather than gay marriage (53-25.)
The last poll we had out of Florida on marriage equality alone, from December, showed 45% supported it and 43% were against it.
