Louisiana, USA: Southern Baptist President – North Korea Threats Are Because of Marriage Equality

Written by scott on April 1st, 2013

Southern Baptist President Fred LuterAnother of those God’s anger at the gays caused that other thing to happen” stories. This time, from the President of the Southern Baptists, who is also a pastor in New Orleans. On Top Magazine reports:

Southern Baptist President Fred Luter has linked gay marriage to North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un’s recent threat to launch a nuclear strike against the United States… “It could be a possibility. I’m not that strong in prophecy but I would not be surprised that there’s not a connection there simply because of the fact we’ve seen it happen in Scripture before. I would not be surprised that at the time when we are debating same-sex marriage, at a time when we are debating whether or not we should have gays leading the Boy Scout movement, I don’t think it’s just a coincidence that we have a mad man in Asia who is saying some of the things that he’s saying,” Luter said.

Yes, and New Orleans was hit by a tornado because of Southern Decadence. And Hurricane Sandy was God’s wrath for New York’s wicked ways. So how do you explain all the tornados in God’s Country across the bible belt?

  1. Harry R. Freeman-Jones says:

As an activist and educator I find myself expressing weekly if not more often that Christian pastors who claim their allegiance to the GOD OF LOVE seem unable to recognize love when they encounter it. Scripturally they are expected to restore sight to the blind, set at liberty those who are oppressed, bind up the broken hearted, care for the poor and sick (in body and spirit) cause justice to roll down like mighty waters, and proclaim that the new day of the Lord is at hand. The Reverend Luter’s imaginings concerning divine retribution sadly bear witness to just how far he has strayed from his pastoral responsibilities and “christian values”.
