Tuesday is shaping up to be a big day for marriage equality. France’s Assembly is set to give final approval to a marriage equality bill, the full Delaware House will be debating one, and the Rhode Island Senate Judiciary Committee will consider their own bill as well. Boston.com reports:
The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to consider legislation allowing gay couples to wed. The session is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday. Also up for consideration is a bill that would place the question of allowing gay marriage on next year’s ballot.
No word yet on a full Senate vote on the bill, which has already passed the house. The Senate democratic leadership, as we’ve long noted, is against marriage equality.
