USA, New Jersey: 60% Now Support Marriage Equality in State

Written by scott on July 10th, 2013

titleA new poll out of New Jersey shows strong support for marriage equality, Think Progress reports:

New Jersey will probably be one of the next states to legally recognize same-sex marriages and its denizens are quite ready for it. A new Quinnipiac poll finds that 60 percent of New Jersey voters support marriage equality, while only 31 percent are opposed. This is a slight dip from the 64 percent reported in March, but still very strong support. Republicans remain opposed 49-39.

There’s currently a push to override Governor Christie’s veto and a lawsuit ending. Anyone wanna add a referendum to the mix?
