Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has again rejected the wording of a proposed ballot measure that would repeal the Arkansas constitution’s ban on gay marriage. McDaniel on Monday cited several problems with the proposed constitutional amendment submitted by Arkansans for Equality. The proposed amendment must be approved by McDaniel’s office before the group can begin gathering signatures to place it on the ballot next year.
