USA, Ohio: No Target Date for Marriage Equality?

OhioMarriage equality advocates have not set a target date for marriage equality in their new campaign.

The Columbus Dispatch reports:

Supporters are loading the campaign bus to try to persuade Ohio voters to overturn the state’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. They just aren’t sure when it’s leaving… Elyzabeth Holford, executive director of Equality Ohio, said Ohioans value fairness and human dignity, and will eventually vote to overturn the 2004 amendment limiting marriage to one man and one woman. But she would not commit to pushing the issue to the ballot next year. “We will go forward when the time is right,” she said. “What we are not doing is setting an arbitrary date.”

These things are always tricky, especially when polls show support is tight and 2014 is an off-year election…
