Gay Marriage Deconstructs Both Marriage and Humanity
So, basically, NOM’s Brian Brown just called gays and lesbians lesbians destroyers of humanity.
LGBTQ Nation reports:
The marriage panel at Friday’s Values Voter Summit — which featured Tony Perkins, Brian Brown, Ryan Anderson and Jennifer Marshall of the Heritage Foundation — spent most of the time equating support for same-sex marriage with a loss of free speech for marriage equality opponents… Brown even asserted that marriage equality is “an attempt to deconstruct the very nature of reality, the very nature of what it means to be a human being.”
Nasty people. I guess the masks (and the gloves) are off.
Same Sex Parents Are Like Sluts, Drug Users, and Abusers
Yup, Florida Republican Representative Dennis K. Baxley lumped gay parents in with all sorts of unsavory characters.
“It’s easy to say parents need to get involved, but half these kids are raising themselves. They don’t have any parents that are functional. How can we address that? I mean I sat an hour and a half with a teacher telling me: ‘This child has got serial men coming through the house, this one has two mommies, this one has abusive father whose home, this has alcoholism, this one has drug abuse.’ It was a casualty warfare event to hear — just her classroom — how many dysfunctional, atypical – to me – structures are in the way of a kid having a chance to learn.”
‘Poor kid – with those lesbian parents, e never had a chance.’
You Too Can Pray (and Pray and Pray) Away the Gay
Ex-gay (and ex-amatuer porn star) Joseph Sciambra kows the secret to becoming straight. Or at least to not having gay sex anymore.
To those struggling with same-sex attraction, I would encourage developing their prayer life; their relationship with God. They need to spend much time in prayer, going to daily Mass, and making a weekly Confession. They also need to have a very good confessor and/or spiritual director. Instead of acting out on those desires, whether that involves sexual activity with another person or by viewing pornography, they need to excavate their feelings and memories, in order to discover why they have these homosexual desires. This is a very difficult and painful process, but it must be accomplished. Here, they must completely strip themselves of their false pride and stand completely unashamed before the Lord. Because, without exception, every gay man and woman that I ever knew, reluctantly at times, could trace their homosexuality back to some childhood experience.”
I’ve known I was gay since I was four. And I grew up in a loving household and was never abused. This guy’s an idiot.
The Gays Are Going to Win
NOM’s Maggie Gallagher faces facts.
“It’s clear that the courts are going to shut down the marriage debate and impose gay marriage uniformly. There is not yet a unified sense of where we go from here, except for this: there is an accelerating awareness that the consequence of marriage equality is going to be extremely negative for traditionalist Christians. Refusing despair is a powerful political weapon. If we don’t keep fighting, we are not going to be tolerated. The question we have to face is this: did the Supreme Court give us Roe v. Wade, or Brown v. Board? If it’s Roe, we lose, but our views of marriage will still be respectable. But if we let it be Brown, we’re in big trouble.”
I vote for Brown.
Why Don’t The Gays Just Shut Up?
Columnist Star Parker wishes gays would just keep their lives on the down-low – it would make things so much easier.
The antigay rants have kept coming this weekend at the Values Voter Summit, with columnist Star Parker’s opening Saturday’s session with remarks that included “homosexuality is now dividing us and bringing hostility into the public square” and advice to gays to “keep it private.” At the annual gathering of right-wing activists, she also said the left has “declared a war on marriage which weakened women and opened a door to this new culture of meaninglessness.” And she added that since “all sexual behavior is adult behavior,” gay people should “keep it private.”
I’m here, I’m queer, get used to it.
