LGBTQ Nation reports:
Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard is joining the campaign against writing Indiana’s gay marriage ban into the state constitution. Ballard on Friday signed a resolution against the measure, joining a group of businesses, universities and others who say the amendment would keep workers and businesses from moving to Indiana. Social conservative organizations have begun coordinating in support of the measure, which they say is needed to keep courts from potentially legalizing gay marriage.
Several Indiana colleges and Universities have also come out against the ban. Indiana is one of the last states with neither a constitutional ban on gay marriage or full marriage equality.
