Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Ever since a new law on civil partnerships came into force in July, 44 gay and lesbian couples have stood before a marriage registrar in Hungary, from Eger in the north to Pecs in the south, Nepszabadsag daily said on Thursday.

It’s part of an effort aimed at achieving what Gerber, 73, describes as her dream. “I want to live long enough to be able to get married in North Carolina,” she said.
