Featured Gay Friendly Wedding Vendor: Mark Sepic, Wedding Entertainer, Toronto

Friday, February 24th, 2012

Periodically we’ll feature one of our vendors here to let our readers know about some great people who can help you plan the perfect wedding.

Mark offers a full range of wedding entertainment options, from easy-listening to high-energy. He can supply a solo guitarist, a duo, trio or larger combinations with custom instrumentation – bass, drums, latin percussion, vocals, flute, sax, clarinet, trumpet, keyboards, harmonica, or strings, to create the perfect atmosphere for your gay wedding.

Each of the styles listed above can be performed by a duo or trio, but if you want to have a dance party, he suggests a quartet or quintet. Mark can also provide trained dancers and dance instructors for the Latin Musics, or go wild and have a Costume Ball or a Brazilian style Carnival.

He can also plan and organize custom theme nights: open-mike coffee houses or soothing new-age sound environments, or even team-building drum circles with optional make-and-take percussion novelties.

Gay Wedding Show Coming to Toronto in October

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

Despite having one of the largest gay communities and being one the first places to legalize gay marriage, Toronto has yet to host a gay-friendly wedding show – until now.

For the first time ever, the Gay Wedding Show will take place at world class hotel, the Delta Chelsea Inn, Sunday Oct. 16, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The show aims to make it easier for gay couples to tie the knot in style – something show organizers say can be surprisingly difficult due to unspoken or “polite” discrimination.

Anticipated to draw more than 2,000 attendees from across North America and around the globe, the show will feature the latest in food, apparel and decor from more than 80 cutting edge chefs, retailers and designers such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, FOS Decor and Palais Royale who will be available to discuss both current and emerging wedding trends for Spring/Summer 2012.

Our fashion show will feature the emcee-ing talents of Shaun Proulx of The Shaun Proulx Show on Out-TV and The Gay Guide Network.

Sponsored by Proud FM and Pink Pages.

Designed to help the gay and lesbian community plan their special day and appeal to the most discerning gay couples, the show was organized by award-winning wedding planner, Malvina Chevolleau of Toronto and leading chef and caterer Joan Brennan of London, ON, in an effort to fill a void in gay-friendly wedding services.
