WA: Love for All March for Marriage Equality Planned for Next Week

Same-sex marriage supporters will march in Cowlitz County Saturday and Sunday as part of a longer march from Vancouver to Olympia.

The Love for All March for Marriage Equality is to express support for legalizing gay marriage in Washington and will cover a total of 100 miles. Most participants will only walk in one or two segments.

The local segments include Kalama to Longview on Saturday and then Longview to Vader on Sunday, said Longview resident Eileen Arnold, a member of the Diversity Task Force at Longview United Methodist Church. Local organizers hope to see between 20 to 50 people walking on those legs of the trip, she said.

PinkSixty News 11/26/10: Gay Wedding Announcement, HIV in the Philippines

A gay couple are challenging the wedding announcement policy of The Dallas Morning News. Mark Read and Dante Walkup made news recently when an official in Washington DC – via digital application Skype – married them.

HIV infections are on the rise in the Philippines, bucking the worldwide trend reported by the UN that infection is declining. There have been 500 more infections there in this year than in 2009 already.

Rocky Rhodes heads a company of high quality and personal integrity. Rocky began performing with live bands when he was just twelve years old, and has performed with Bob Kuban and the In-Men of “The Cheater” fame. He also worked ad a back-up singer for Dick Clark’s Caravan Of Stars touring show, and has appeared at the Whiskey A Go-Go, Where the Action Is and other ’60′s venues.

Rocky spent seventeen years touring Asia and Hawaii, working at a number of large hotels and lounges, including the Hilton, Playboy (Hong Kong), InterContinental, Outrigger, and more, and has also appeared on Japanese Television and Radio.

He has also done stunt work in Return of the Dragon with Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris; Hawaii 5-O; Magnum P.I.; Barnaby Jones and Hart to Hart.
