Italy: Marriage Equality Activists Launch New Campaign

Activists lobbying for the legalization of gay marriage in Italy have launched the Share the Love campaign.

In a 60-second video for the campaign released last week, a straight couple says, “We can get married,” followed by a gay man saying: “I can’t.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

Organizers of Condividilove (which roughly translates to Share the Love) say that a grassroots effort is needed in Italy because unlike other nations such as Spain, France and Britain, Italian politicians remain adamantly apposed to marriage equality.
