Whether it’s crafting a signature cocktail that is all your own using herbs from our private garden, a cake that will look and taste better than you ever imagined created by our in-house pastry chef, a standout dinner made from local ingredients, or providing a cozy home away from home for your guests in our award-winning Inn, Sage is Provincetown’s premiere wedding venue.

At Sage Inn & Lounge, you can host your ceremony, reception or rehearsal dinner in our over 1,800 square feet of private indoor function space or relaxing herb garden. We offer 4 event spaces for receptions, rehearsal dinners and intimate weddings, from the Mediera Room for up to 125 people to our private garden that’s ideal for ceremonies for up to 15.

Since the late 1700’s, our location has been making history and that tradition remains today. Home to Provincetown’s very first hotel, the Pilgrim House, which hosted many an infamous visitor, including the likes of Henry David Thoreau, today Sage Inn & Lounge continues to celebrate and support the arts. Following a lengthy renovation that included a new 125-seat first floor function space, lounge, commercial kitchen and redesigned rooms, the Inn & Lounge opened for business in 2012. Over the last year, Sage and its carefully assembled team of experienced chefs, mixologists and hotel staff have quickly become a leading destination for inventive cuisine, cocktails and accommodations.

California, USA: Lesbian Couple, Tired of Waiting for Prop 8 Repeal, Marries in Massachusetts

California, USA: Lesbian Couple, Tired of Waiting for Prop 8 Repeal, Marries in MassachusettsAbout a year ago, Corrie Sharp picked Jennifer Tom up from work with a big surprise: Corrie had a dinner reservation at a beautiful restaurant on the bay in San Diego, and she wanted to enjoy a romantic dinner and watch the sunset with Jennifer.

The women, who have now been partners for nearly ten years, enjoyed a nice dinner, and as they wrapped up the check, Corrie rushed Jennifer out of the restaurant and into the car, driving her to Sunset Cliffs so they didn’t miss a minute of the sun setting over the bay. As they sat down, Corrie pulled out a cake box from Jennifer’s favorite bakery, opened the box, and presented it. Inside was Jennifer’s favorite cake with a very special decoration resting on the frosting: A ring that represented Corrie’s commitment to the woman she loved.

Corrie and Jennifer had decided several years before that they would get married, but they had originally planned to tie the knot in their home state of California. However, with Proposition 8 on the books – the November 2008 law that stripped same-sex couples of the freedom to marry, which had been approved by the state Supreme Court five months before – the women knew they would have to wait for the judicial process to run its course and for Proposition 8 to be ruled unconstitutional once and for all.

Featured Gay Friendly Wedding Vendor: A New Outlook Photography, Provincetown, Massachusetts

Periodically we’ll feature one of our vendors here to let our readers know about some great people who can help you plan the perfect wedding.

Featured Gay Friendly Wedding Vendor: A New Outlook Photography, Provincetown, MassachusettsI am privileged to live on upper Cape Cod. Every day, I experience the beauty and serenity that this land is known for. Every day, there is something new to discover. Provincetown is one such beauty-no matter what the season. Every time I drive past the ‘Entering Provincetown’ sign, my heart goes aflutter and I feel that I am home. As we all know, there is no place like home. Ptown beckons, “Come as you are and we will love you no matter what”. It is truly a unique place.

It is here that I do most of my work. I meet many folks from out of state that come here to marry for just that reason. Whether it is an intimate wedding on the beach or a larger affair in-town with lots of friends and relatives, I am honored to photograph each one. I capture each wedding with my heart as well as my eyes. As I work, I take it all in, the light, my subjects, the backgrounds, and the love. It is completely awe-inspiring work.
