Rabbi Joysa Winter – Gay Friendly Poconos Wedding Officiant

Weddings should reflect the personalities and values of the two people getting married. Together we craft a unique ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple. The “heart and soul” of every ceremony is where I share highlights of your love story. If I can create the space for your guests to both laugh and cry, I know I have done my job!

I have particular passion for ceremonies that blend different religious or cultural traditions, as well as the Irish/Celtic handfasting ritual. My seminary training spans all six non-orthodox Jewish movements, and I am happy to offer spiritual / secular ceremonies to couples in which neither partner is Jewish.

Prior to seminary, I worked as a journalist for 25 years and thus am very organized. I provide many files and resources to make the planning process organized and efficient, help create your ceremony program, and support whatever readers might also be participating. As I have been fully ordained by a national governing body, I can legally sign marriage licenses in all 50 states.

On average, I spend 15-20 hours preparing for and officiating each ceremony. I am also a certified facilitator with the Prepare Enrich premarital prep program, and can offer their program as an optional additional service.
